Signs of Life in the Sand States: New York Times
It looks like that feeling we’ve all sensed – a new confidence, a return to buoyancy in the real estate market – is more than wishful thinking after all.
A recent article in the New York Times points to “signs of life” in the real estate markets of the so-called “sand states” of the Southwest and California. Based on the latest Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller indexes , the article outlines which markets have recovered most strongly.
Phoenix, with a 7.4% growth, shows the second biggest leap in value of all of the 13 markets measured in the index. This is very good news indeed.
It’s another sign that we’re moving toward a real recovery – and a great reason to make a good move when you see one.
